Auroville GIS Site Instructions
There are three methods to view the data, one using Google Earth, one using ArcGIS online and the third using MangoMap.
The first method simply involves downloading the Google Earth KMZ file with all the data in it which then automatically opens in Google Earth. Google Earth must be installed on your computer beforehand to open the KMZ file.
1. Under KMZ file download click on Download file.
2. Either open the file directly in Google Earth or save the file and then open in Google Earth.
3. View or change the display settings of the layers you want to display.
The second method uses the free online mapping application ArcGIS Online.
1. Under ArcGIS Online Maps click on Open ArcGIS Online Map Gallery. A list of maps and web applications will display.
2. Click on the map or web application map you are interested in.
The third method uses the free online mapping application MangoMap.
1. Under MangoMap click on Open MangoMap to open the MangoMap web mapping application developed specifically for Auroville.
